All session fees need to be paid prior to, or at the time of your session.

Our practice uses secure automatic payments processing and you will require a credit / debit card to register with our clinic upon intake to ensure automatic payments processing. Please note that we do not have EFTPOS / HICAPS facilities on-site.

FEES & REBATES (FROM 1 January 2025)

Although the 2024-25 recommended fee for a 50min standard consultation with a psychologist is $311-$315 (APS; AAPi), we charge much lower rates. Also, if you are eligible for a Medicare or private health rebate, your out-of-pocket costs will be even lower, depending on what rebates are available to you.

2025 Session Fees

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Registered Psychologist: $245 for a 50 minute individual therapy session. Initial appointments incur an additional $15 fee. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate which will reduce your out of pocket costs to $148.35 (plus $15 for Initial Appointment).

Principal Psychologist: $245 for a 50 minute individual therapy session. Initial appointments incur an additional $15 fee. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate which will reduce your out of pocket costs to $148.35 (plus $15 for Initial Appointment).

Clinical Psychologist: $285 for a 50 minute individual therapy session. Initial appointments incur an additional $10 fee. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate which will reduce your out of pocket costs to $143.15 (plus $10 for Initial Appointment).

After hours sessions (5pm+ and all Saturday appointments) attract an additional $20 surcharge on the above rates.

Letters, forms, and reports (outside of required Medicare letters) are charged at the usual hourly rate plus GST.

Client Loyalty Program: We value our long term clients and offer a loyalty program with reduced pricing. Please speak to your treating therapist or our Admin team to discuss.

Concession Appointments: We understand that financial difficulties can limit access to psychology services. We are committed to supporting our community to access excellent care and have a limited number of concession appointments available for those experiencing financial hardship. Please speak to your treating therapist or our Admin team to discuss.


RELATIONSHIP THERAPY
The fees for our relationship therapy sessions vary depending on the type of relationship therapy program determined most appropriate for your relationship. Please call or email us to discuss our current programs and fees.

Private Health Insurance

If you have private health insurance, you might be eligible for rebates on some sessions, but this depends on your specific coverage, so it’s best to check with your insurance provider. Keep in mind that you cannot claim both Medicare and private health fund rebates for the same session.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life can be busy and that you may need to reschedule your appointment from time to time. We do our best to be flexible, however due to the nature of psychology sessions, it is difficult to fill a cancelled appointment at short notice. This policy is consistent with accepted industry practice and aims to respect our psychologists and clients (including waitlist clients).

All clients are required to agree to the following Cancellation Policy at the time of booking their appointment.

Cancellation or Rescheduling:

  • Please provide at least 48 business hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. For example, if your appointment is at 9 am on Monday, you will need to cancel before 9 am on Thursday to avoid a cancellation fee. This is because we need two business days’ to attempt to fill a cancelled or rescheduled appointment.
  • Cancellations within 48 business hours or clients who do not attend (‘no-shows’) will be charged 100% of the session fee.
  • Cancellations within 24 business hours will be charged 50% of the session fee.
  • Please note cancellation fees do not attract a Medicare rebate and must be paid ‘out of pocket’.
 
Reminders:

To help you avoid incurring the cancellation fee, you will receive a reminder text message and email three (3) business days prior to your appointment. Please note however that it is ultimately your responsibility to remember your appointments and to reschedule the appointment with sufficient notice in the event you are unable to attend. We will not be responsible if you do not receive a text message or email reminder. Failure to confirm your appointment by responding to the reminder text message does not cancel your appointment – you will need to contact us by phone or email to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
 

Payment:

Fees are payable when cancelling by phone or will be automatically charged to the card on file. Outstanding payments beyond 7 days may be sent to collections, with additional charges.

Extenuating circumstances:

Please speak to reception if you have extenuating circumstances that have resulted in an urgent need to reschedule your appointment within the minimum notice period.  Extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis. Please note that evidence may be required to support your request for special consideration.

We accept clients who are funded by:

DVA: If you have served at least one day in the Australian Defence Force you are eligible to see one of our psychologists funded by the Department of Veteran Affairs.  Please see your GP for a DVA referral and then send it to us.

Workcover: If you have a work related injury or illness that you would like psychological support for you may be eligible to have your sessions funded by work cover insurance. You will need to see your GP to apply for work cover.  

EAP: Your employer may be willing to provide funding for your sessions with a psychologist. The sessions remain confidential and your employer is not entitled to any information from your psychologist.  Please talk directly to your employer to see if this is an option.
