Sharron Whittaker is a registered psychologist with experience working with complex presentations. Sharron enjoys working with adolescents and adults across a variety of cultures and ethnic groups. She also has a strong interest in couple’s therapy.
She enjoys delivering an integrative treatment approach using a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Solutions-Focused Therapy.
She has experience in the treatment of the following presentations:
- Anxiety disorders
- Loss and bereavement
- Relationships and family difficulties.
She also enjoys working with high performing Master’s athletes, assisting them to balance performance expectations with work, family and other commitments.
In addition to completing accredited training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focussed Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy, Sharron is also interested in the treatment of couple’s issues and has completed Level 2 Gottman Therapy training.
Personally, Sharron is an avid cyclist and also competes in Masters sporting events.
